AWS is celebrating its 21st birthday this year.
Established in 1995, AWS has grown to become one of Australia’s leading suppliers of high performance aluminium window and door systems. Privately owned, AWS had its humble beginnings in the garage of one of the founding directors David McCleary.
David was committed to developing a uniquely Australian window system offering which would set a new standard for the window industry. Taking cues from sister company APL in New Zealand, David designed the popular Vantage® Australia range from the ground up offering Australian Designers and Architects a bold, stylish and unique aluminium window and door range.
It was only a matter of time before the offering expanded to include commercial window and door systems under the AWS Commercial and later Elevate™ banner.
A business committed to innovation and responding to the needs of our fabricator network, architects, designers and builders, AWS went on to develop and release Australia’s first Thermally Broken Aluminium window and door range; ThermalHEART®. AWS also boasts Australia’s largest offering of Bal-40 rated, cyclone rated, acoustic tested and WERS rated window and door systems.
Operating from production and warehouse facilities in NSW, VIC, SA, QLD and WA, AWS has grown to become a truly national business committed to innovation and supporting the industry.
